Planner Series- Embellished Paperclips

| Close To My Heart, Everyday Life Planner, Heart Broken Designs, Planner Series, Planners Gonna Plan

Hi Everyone!

Today is the start of my planner series! This project share is on embellished paper clips and it is quick and easy.

All you need are paperclips (any size), a glue gun, chipboard stickers, charms, felt charms, tulle, bottle cap charms…the list can go on and on.

Next, take your charm or sticker and add a little glue to the back and stick on your paperclip. Easy, right!

I added a little felt circle on the back of mine to cover the glue, add a finishing touch and make the stick a little stronger.

Helpful tips

  • If you are using a chipboard sticker, to get the stickiness off just add a little bit of corn starch to the stick area and wipe off and voila, it will no longer be sticky!
  • Gather all of the embellishments you want to add to your paperclips first and then lay each one out with a paperclip underneath, this way you make sure you have the right number of paperclips and you can decide how you want to glue them on.
I hope you enjoyed my project. If you would like to see a video, let me know!

Holy haberdashery, Batman!

| Close To My Heart, craft your passion, Cricut Explore, CTMH, Georgie Paper, Heart Broken Designs, Workshops on the Go

This is my first Design Team Project for Craft Your Passion and I am super excited! Today’s project share is a paper bag card for my nephew who turns 4 on January 10th. He loves Batman so that is the theme for his card.

I know he won’t remember old school Batman and Robin with their sayings but I couldn’t help myself with the title!

This is a paper bag card so I am going to fill the paper bag opening side with temporary Batman tattoos.

The paper collection I used is the Georgia Paper Pack from Close to My Heart. The image is from Digital Delights and is called Bat Brian.

I uploaded the image to my Cricut Explore to cut and then colored it with my Spectrum Noir Markers. I did add Wink of Stella for some shimmer and added some Enamel Gems to the cover. On the mini tag on the inside I added a bit of Extra Thick Twine in Glacier.

You can get the Workshops on the Go/Georgie Paper Pack here:

Birthday Love!

| Birthday, Close To My Heart, CTMH, Heart Broken Designs, Jackson Paper, Whimsy Paper

Today I am sharing a birthday card I made for my sweetheart. His birthday is right after Christmas so I went from Christmas wrapping to Birthday wrapping but definitely had to make a custom card.

I used CTMH paper and images from Cricut Design Space.

The background paper is from the Jackson Paper collection and each balloon is cut from the Paper Fundamentals Whimsy Assortment.

I decorated the red heart balloon with Wink of Stella and added Glossy Accents to each balloon.

The CTMH stamp I used is the Balloon Animals stamp which is the February Stamp of the month. That you can pick up soon!

Here are links to the papers I used:

Today’s share is not a project but an unboxing.

I received my Silhouette Mint in the mail and here is the unboxing. I bought this package from Overstock on Cyber Monday. I had a coupon that made it just a bit of a better deal than the Sil store.

I have used the Mint at this point and it is awesome. I am going to post another video with how it works.

Thanks for stopping by!

Floral Box Card

| Close To My Heart, Cricut Explore, CTMH, Heart Broken Designs, SVG Cuts

Today’s project share is the Floral Box Card from SVG Cuts. I just love box cards and love how easily these go together. You can use any paper that you would like and it all goes together perfectly.
I made this Floral Box Card a Thank You card but it would also be great for Mother’s Day or a Just Thinking of You card as well.

The best thing about box cards is that they lay flat and fit right into an envelope for mailing but are dimensional when opened!

I cut this SVG with my Cricut Explore. You can find the SVG for this box card at SVG Cuts here-

The stamp I used was the “Just To Say…” from the Artfully Sent Cricut Collection (Z3168) and I used CTMH Cocoa from the Basics Exclusive Inks/Mini Pigment Pads Set (Z2503).

I hope you enjoyed my project.

Christmas Explosion Box

| Uncategorized

I know, it’s supposed to be Mini Album Monday but today I am breaking the rules…well not by too much though because this Christmas Explosion box is a memory keeper as well!

I just finished this Christmas Explosion Box yesterday and am so excited to share it with you. The lid is embellished with a glittery poinsettia, greenery and of course ribbon with a cute tag.

The inside of this explosion box has a cute Christmas scene complete with Christmas tree embellished with lights and sitting on top of a Doily for a tree skirt and is surrounded by presents.

There are 26 spots for pictures, journaling or adding other mementos. This would be a great way to document Christmas 2015 or Christmas past.

I hope you enjoyed my project!

Thanksgiving Paperbag Cards

| Uncategorized

Thanksgiving is so close and I have so many things on my to do list that I still haven’t done! At least one thing I can check off my to do list are these super cute and easy Thanksgiving Paperbag Cards I finished for my nieces & nephews.

I won’t get to see them for Thanksgiving but I wanted to send them a card and a little treat.

The front of these cards are layered with Close to My Heart White Daisy Paper and Anna Griffin Halloween Paper. The Turkey images are from the Silhouette Design Store and the Happy Thanksgiving Sentiment is from Cricut Design Space.

The inside of the card is stamped with “Enjoy” and it is from Close to My Heart Perfect Picture Cricut Collection (D1681). This stamp is from the Cricut Artisty Collection which is awesome.

Here they are completely stuffed with goodies!

If you want to see a little more, check out the video here
Here the Cricut Artistry Cartridge that you can only get from Close to my Heart.

Contains the same shapes, stamp sets, and cardstock as the cartridge collection. The only difference is the 700 images are accessed using an online code rather than a physical cartridge.*

I hope you enjoyed my project & thanks for stopping by!
