Craft Your Passion Design Team Project- Blushing Bride Card

| Alicia Bel, Close To My Heart, craft your passion, Heart Broken Designs

Hi Everyone!

Today’s project share is my Design Team project for Craft Your Passion Challenge #308.

Our sponsor this week is Alicia Bel and the image I selected was Emily (Zombie).

This is my Blushing Bride Card!

I love this image! I didn’t color her up like a zombie even though I love zombie movies…but I am going to be coloring her up like a zombie the next time I use this image. The image is great and reminds me of a Tim Burton movie.

The paper collection I used was DCWV Happy Day stack. I colored the image with my Spectrum Noirs and added lace, doily, fabric covered buttons and a small bow for embellishment.

I did pop dot both my image and the second layer for more dimension. And of course I added some Wink of Stella and stickles for bling.

The card is 5 1/2 by 5 1/2 inches and I left the inside blank so lots of room for a message.

Craft Your Passion/Design Team Post- You Are My Happy

| beary loving, Close To My Heart, craft your passion, Heart Broken Designs, mother's day, rosette

Hi Everyone,

Today I am sharing my Design Team Post for Craft Your Passion. Our sponsor for today’s challenge was Beccy’s Place and the image I used was Beary Loving.

I made a Rosette on a Stick for my project and I am loving it!

I colored up the image with my watercolor pencils and added stickles to the little red hearts. I added dimension by pop dotting the scalloped circle and the little bears as well.

On the straw, I added green tulle and a little brown cord to attach my sentiment which reads, “You are my happy.” LOVE. This is a CTMH stamp.

I am going to have to make more of these rosette projects, they are so quick and look so adorable when done!

Here are the CTMH supplies I used:

It’s not too late for you to link up your project, you can do that here:

Craft Your Passion/ Design Team Post- Princess in a Castle Birthday Card

| Birthday Card, Close To My Heart, craft your passion, Heart Broken Designs, Julia Spiri, Princess In A Castle

Hi Everyone,

Today I am sharing my Design Team Post for Craft Your Passion. This week’s sponsor is Julia Spiri and the image I used was Princess in a Castle.

This was the cutest image to color up and my baby niece is turning two and she loves getting mail so this card along with a unicorn stuffed animal is headed to her.

This is an A2 sized card (4 x 5 1/2 inches). The paper I used was DCWV, The Preppy Princess Stack. The sentiment is from Close To My Heart and is C1631- Birthday Princess Occasions stamp.

I colored up the image with my CTMH watercolor pencils and my Spectrum Noirs. I added embellishment with Stickles and Jelly Roll Pens. I also added light pink tulle and some ribbon at the bottom and pop dotted the image and the sentiment for extra dimension.

You can get the CTMH products I used here:

Hi Everyone!

I hope you are having a wonderful Valentine’s Day! My project share today are envelope pop holders I made for Valentine’s Day!

These are super easy to make and they came out really cute!

I used my envelope punch board to make the small envelopes and used size 2 1/2 x 3, with the paper size being 5 x 5.

Most of the paper I used was from My Mind’s Eye- Lost & Found Heirloom 6×6 paper pad. I did make a few of the envelopes from other 6×6 paper pads.

Planner Series- Embellished Paperclips

| Close To My Heart, Everyday Life Planner, Heart Broken Designs, Planner Series, Planners Gonna Plan

Hi Everyone!

Today is the start of my planner series! This project share is on embellished paper clips and it is quick and easy.

All you need are paperclips (any size), a glue gun, chipboard stickers, charms, felt charms, tulle, bottle cap charms…the list can go on and on.

Next, take your charm or sticker and add a little glue to the back and stick on your paperclip. Easy, right!

I added a little felt circle on the back of mine to cover the glue, add a finishing touch and make the stick a little stronger.

Helpful tips

  • If you are using a chipboard sticker, to get the stickiness off just add a little bit of corn starch to the stick area and wipe off and voila, it will no longer be sticky!
  • Gather all of the embellishments you want to add to your paperclips first and then lay each one out with a paperclip underneath, this way you make sure you have the right number of paperclips and you can decide how you want to glue them on.
I hope you enjoyed my project. If you would like to see a video, let me know!

Holy haberdashery, Batman!

| Close To My Heart, craft your passion, Cricut Explore, CTMH, Georgie Paper, Heart Broken Designs, Workshops on the Go

This is my first Design Team Project for Craft Your Passion and I am super excited! Today’s project share is a paper bag card for my nephew who turns 4 on January 10th. He loves Batman so that is the theme for his card.

I know he won’t remember old school Batman and Robin with their sayings but I couldn’t help myself with the title!

This is a paper bag card so I am going to fill the paper bag opening side with temporary Batman tattoos.

The paper collection I used is the Georgia Paper Pack from Close to My Heart. The image is from Digital Delights and is called Bat Brian.

I uploaded the image to my Cricut Explore to cut and then colored it with my Spectrum Noir Markers. I did add Wink of Stella for some shimmer and added some Enamel Gems to the cover. On the mini tag on the inside I added a bit of Extra Thick Twine in Glacier.

You can get the Workshops on the Go/Georgie Paper Pack here:
