Day 2: 30 Day Coloring Challenge- My Sweet Friend Cupcake Card

| 30 Day Coloring Challenge, Birthday Card, Caliart, Colorado Craft Company, My Favorite Things, Sincerely,Rina

Hi Friends,

I am finally back with my Day 2 finished card! I had posted the coloring of this cupcake with my Day 3 coloring & card but hadn’t finished the card but here it is.

It is a Double Z fold Card. This is my 3rd card with the My Sweet Friend Cupcake stamp from Colorado Craft Company.

It measures 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 when closed and when open it measures 5 1/2 x 11.

I used my Spectrum Noir and Caliart markers to color my image and then I added some Glossy Accents to give my strawberry a little sheen. I also added some tiny purple hearts with a stencil.

The inside of the card says “This Card is Sprinkled with Love” with space for a handwritten message and on the opposite side it says “Hello, Cupcake”. Both sentiments are from the MFT Sugar-Coated Sentiments stamp.

I also used the 2nd half of my Day 1 coloring to make a 2nd card.

It is a bit slimmer than the Day 1 card at 3 1/2 x 5. I decorated it the same way though with sequins and my stamped sentiment on Vellum.

My next blog post will have my Day 4 coloring & card and ALL my coloring up to day 12. Making the cards is taking a bit longer but I am definitely keeping up with coloring.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

30 Day Coloring Challenge/ Day 3!!

| 30 Day Coloring Challenge, Caliart, Colorado Craft Company, My Favorite Things

Hi Friends,

Today is Day 3 of the 30 Day Coloring Challenge that Katy Rac is hosting over at the DailyMarker.com. This is my first time participating in this challenge and I am loving it.

Admittedly, while I colored my Day 2 cupcake, I haven’t made the card yet! That is coming soon…

I did finish my day 3 coloring and the card. I just love so much how this one came out that I went straight to making the card. The card size is 4 3/4 x 5.

If you missed my day 1 post, I am using the same stamp for all 30 days. I am using the Colorado Craft Company- Big & Bold: Sweet Friend Cupcake. I decided to use this one for all 30 days because I so often buy a stamp and only use it once or twice so I decided to push myself to use the same stamp.

For my sentiments I am using the My Favorite Things Sugar-Coated Sentiments Clear stamps. I think this sentiment stamp is perfect match for the cupcake stamp.

I am also using a mix of alcohol markers. Today I used my Caliart markers for the strawberry and cupcake and I used my Spectrum Noirs for the frosting.

I used my MFT Die-namics Tag Builder Blueprints 5 to make the little tag for my sentiment and then I added some green and white twine for a pop of color.

I also added some Clear Glass Bugle Beads on the frosting for some little sprinkle like embellishing.

Today is actually day 2, but I am going to be behind in posting the actual finished cards.

So here is my Day 1 coloring & card.

And here is my Day 2 coloring. I will share the card tomorrow or I may batch cards and share 5 at a time.

Alice in Wonderland Pop Up Card

| card making, Graphic 45, greeting cards, Pop Up Card

Hey Friends Hey!

I hope your Saturday is going great! I have a fun, fun project to share with you today. I am guest designing for the Sisterhood of the Snarky Stampers for the E is for Evil challenge.

Before I get to my project, I just have to comment on how much I laughed at this image. Every time I see it, I just laugh. LOL

Okay, okay. Now on to the project. I really like the Evil Queens for some reason, sometimes I think they are just misunderstood. You know, like in the musical, “Wicked”; the wicked witch is really the good gal.

For my project, my evil character is the Queen of Hearts. She’s on the inside of this super fun Alice in Wonderland card.

The paper I used is Graphic 45- Halloween in Wonderland. I love this paper and have been saving it for quite awhile.

And here is my fun pop up on the inside. I’ve been wanting to make a pop up for a mini album for awhile but decided to just jump into it for this challenge.

I love this card! I hope you enjoyed it to.

Make sure to play along over at the Sisterhood of the Snarky Stampers. You can find all of their fun, snarky challenges here.

Valentine’s Day Sucks

| Sisterhood of the Snarky Stampers

Hi Friends,

Happy Friday! I am rushing in here with my last minute project for the current Sisterhood of the Snarky Stampers.

Just a quick disclaimer…I actually LOVE Valentine’s Day. I love the cards, the dinners, the gifts, all the pink and red and hearts…all of it. However, I also thought this challenge would be super fun.

Today I whipped up this adorbs typerwritter from SVG Cuts. It’s from “A Good Day at the Office” collection.

It’s so stinking cute. However, it does have snark!

Bahahahaha! I know it’s probably weird for me to laugh so hard at my own jokes. LOL.

The paper collection I used is from Carta Bella, the Cute as a Button collection. I embellished with flowers and pearls and tulle. You know, all my favorites!

I have been wanting to make this typewriter forever and am so glad I finally did.

You can find the Sisterhood of the Snarky Stamper challenges here.

Thanks for stopping by… I hope you enjoyed the snark!

I am back with my first blog post of 2020 and what better way to start then with some snark!

Here is a card I whipped up for the “H is for Headache” challenge over at the Sisterhood of the Snarky Stampers.

This is a 4 x 5 1/2 inch card. The paper I used was DCWV Vintage Collector. I also used a vintage image from the Hungry JPEG.

I added dimension using pop dots and embellished with sequins, a paper clip and a button.

I added more snark on the inside of the card!

I hope you like my 1st sassy card of the new year. You can find all of the snarky craft challenges for the Sisterhood of the Snarky Stampers here:

Sew Crafty

| crafty gal, crafty mom, Cricut Explore, Graphic 45, Sewing, Sisterhood of the Snarky Stampers

Hello Friends!

I’m back with an adorable mini sewing machine!!! I just can’t get over how cute it is and love that it also has a little box on the bottom where you can add goodies or small items.

The sewing machine is actually an SVG from the Cutting Cafe called the Sewing Machine Kit and you can find it here.

The paper collection I used is from Graphic 45- Time to Celebrate. It is an older collection but is just gorgeous.

I embellished my little machine with dimensional pearl pop dots, a rosette embellishment, thread and tulle.

I thought this sewing machine would be perfect for the “R is for Rip” challenge over at the Sisterhood of the Snarky Stampers. I immediately thought of sewing when I read rip… well okay maybe it was my second thought lol.

You can find the Sisterhood of the Snarky Stampers here.

I hope you enjoyed my project & thanks for stopping by!

Sand Pail Treat Holder

| crafty gal, Silhouette, Sisterhood of the Snarky Stampers

Hello Friends!

It seems like everyone I know is going on vacation so I whipped up this super cute sand pail treat holder.

The cut file for the Sand Pail came from the Silhouette Studio. It is called the “Sand Pail Shaped Box” by Lori Whitlock. It was super quick and easy to put together.

I cut an extra piece of the front of the pail to make an insert to add a sassy message. Right now my little pail is filled with white glitter tulle and some ticket stubs but I plan to add some treats.

I decorated the pail by inking the edges, adding some layers with a star, ticket stubs and tag. On my tag I stamped “Vacation 1 Mile,” which is a Close to My Heart Stamp called the Long Way Home. Lastly, I added a cute Good Times button and a tiny clothespin.

This is also my project share for the Sisterhood of the Snarky Stampers: S is for Sea! I would love to be lounging on the beach right now!

You can find all of their fun challenges here.

Sassy New Mommy Cards

| craft life, crafty gal, greeting cards, Sisterhood of the Snarky Stampers

Hi Friends,

Today I am sharing two cards I made for the B is for the Birds & the Bees Challenge on the Sisterhood of the Snarky Stampers blog. I found this fun blog a few weeks ago and I just love making cards with a little sass.

Both of the cards I made are pocket cards and they measure 5 x 5 inches each.

I added blank tags on the inside with lots of space to write a message.

The images I used are vintage images I found on Pinterest. I added a bit of sass in the messages on each card.

The paper collection I used was the Petticoats & Pinstripes collection by Lori Whitlock/Echo Park.

I decorated each card with a flower cluster, tulle and pearl dots.

Lastly, I created dimension by adding pop dots to multiple layers of each card.

This was a fun challenge and you can still play along at the Sisterhood of the Snarky Stamper blog here.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed my cards!

Scrapbook Love

| craft life, crafty gal, paper craft, scrapbooking

Hi Friends!

Today I am sharing a scrapbook layout I created for my youngest nice. I love scrapbooking memories and gifting memory gifts so this is the start of her album.

I absolutely love how dimensional this layout is and her pics are just so stinkin’ cute.

The paper collection I used was Sweet Girl by Lori Whitlock. I used some of the stickers that were included for embellishment. I just added them on top of white card stock, then fussy cut them out and pop dotted them for extra dimension.

This is also my layout for the Bows & Tassels Challenge for The Studio Challenges. You can still play along and can find the challenge blog here.
